About VandenFrancken

VandenFrancken is a small brewery in Melchow, a short train ride outside of Berlin, focussing on surprising beers of high fermentation. Some beers are heavy and dark and shouldn't be rushed while they brew, and others may be light and springy and cannot wait to be poured. Whatever it takes, we'll do it to get out the best flavours. The brewery started operations (mostly building work, mind you) in 2023, had the first batches brewed in 2024 and starts on-site production in 2025. The focus is on local ingredients, small batches and plenty of patience to get the best out of the malt, the hops and yeast.
